Local notes
Cedar Lake is 2.1 miles long with a fully developed shoreline, so most fishing is done by boat from the state public access site, though the Chamber welcome center offers 24-hour shore access.
The DNR stocks wipers — a white bass / striped bass hybrid — here annually, and they've grown to double-digit weights. It's one of the few Indiana waters where you can catch one.
