Formed by an old mill dam on Deep River, Lake George is shallow and warms fast — one of the earliest panfish bites in the county. The Festival Park side gives solid bank access.
There is a separate Lake George in Hammond; this is the Hobart mill pond, host of the annual Lakefront Festival.
